Exhibition Branding at DECC – A Doha Case Study

Not every strong stand at DECC is the biggest one on the floor. Here’s how a compact booth used focused exhibition branding to consistently outperform much larger neighbours during a recent Doha trade show.

The Brief

A modest stand footprint, a tight setup window, and a brand competing against considerably larger stands on either side — the goal was visibility and clear messaging, not scale.

What Changed

  • A single bold headline graphic replaced three smaller panels of text, making the offer readable from across the aisle.
  • Lighting was repositioned to highlight the header and counter front rather than spread evenly across the stand.
  • Staff uniforms were updated to match the stand’s exact colour palette instead of generic branded polos.
  • The counter front carried the same graphic language as the header, tying the whole stand together visually.

The Result

Visitor stops increased noticeably over the course of the show, with several attendees mentioning the stand stood out specifically because it was easy to read from a distance — exactly what the redesign targeted.

The Takeaway

Stand size rarely determines visibility. A focused branding decision — one clear message, consistent colour, and deliberate lighting — tends to outperform scale on its own. This is the same approach we bring to every exhibition stand we build in Qatar.
